Loitering is when you stand or wait around with no apparent purpose. It sounds ridiculous but it’s a common occurrence — so common that many gas stations and restaurants will post signs stating “No Loitering”.

To the onlooker who doesn’t spend their time loitering outside McDonald’s the act might seem ridiculous. However, many of us are loitering in our lives, careers and relationships. We’re waiting around with no apparent purpose.

Perhaps, we should hang up a “No Loitering” sign in our family room’s every time we sit down to binge-watch another Netflix series or in our offices when we go to clock in for another day at a job we hate.

Perhaps, we all should do a little less loitering and a little more living.
